"Gud baid aglee" is an upcoming Tamil action-comedy film directed by Adik Ravichandran, starring Ajith Kumar along with Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The film is produced by Maithree Movie Makers and is scheduled to release in cinemas on April 10, 2025.


Story and Production

While specific story details are secret, the film is expected to be an action-packed story filled with elements of comedy and romance. The main photography started in 2024, in which important parts were filmed in Hyderabad and selected scenes in Spain, which also included historical city settlements. The construction was completed in early December 2024.

The music of the film has been composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar which shows his collaboration with Ajit Kumar after 17 years. The cinematography has been handled by Abinandan Ramaanujam while the editing has been done by Vijay Velukuttee.




Marketing and release

The teaser of "Gud Baid Aglee" was released on 28 February 2025, and was watched by more than 32 million people within 24 hours, which created a record of the most watched Tamil film teaser at that time. The film is to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages, with the aim to reach the wider audience.


Filming Location

In particular, the production used the historic Segovia Jail in Spain as one of its filming locations. The shooting involved a team of 300 people and was held over several days in October 2024.

Fans and industry observers are eagerly awaiting “Good Day Next” as it features star-studded cast, massive production numbers and Ajit Kumar and J.V. Prakash Kumar has a long standing collaboration with Prakash Kumar. The release of the film is expected to have a significant impact on the box office and make a notable contribution to the production of Tamil film industry in 2025.
